Nageena Dasni

Nagina Dasni is the calculating, venomous satirist of Bakrudeen’s court, draped in a regal emerald-green silk attire etched with antique gold embroidery and adorned with a heavy kundan choker necklace. Towering behind the chrome condenser microphone with flared hood and unblinking, slit-pupil eyes, she trades the chaotic barks of her rivals for razor-sharp, sibilant Urdu couplets designed to strike without warning. As the chief stage adversary to Rita Bhonkni, Nagina never raises her voice; she lets each cold, rhythmic punchline constrict her competition, turning every mushaira recital into a hypnotic, toxic masterclass of high-society mockery.
